Eggship
Here’s yet another design that uses a plastic Easter egg. I must admit I really like the shape.
I cut the top of the egg off and added some details into the opening. I think I used a disc from some Warhammer bits…a Tau drone maybe? At the bottom of the egg I put the top from a room air-freshener (the kind that plug into the wall) as a thruster. I thought it looked cool and fit the egg perfectly.
I then glued two plastic spoons to the side, you know just because. To provide a transition between the egg and the spoon “wings” I glued the halves of a bomb from an airplane kit. The spoons were too obvious as they were so I tried to disguise them with the engine fins from an Anakin Skywalker’s podracer kit. (I’ve gotten a lot of use out of that kit!)
Next, I used putty to tie all these together. Details were added and here it is. I imagine this being an unmanned drone or fast interceptor ship. Something fast and stealthy. I like the low and sleek profile. I want to show it in motion…racing low over the surface.
