Projects that are in the process of being built

Jellyfish Update

Another quick update.

Added details to the top of the dome on my mechanical jellyfish.

Yes, it was very much inspired by the probe droid from Empire Strikes Back.

Next up is creating the tentacles.

WarBot! Now with feet!

A quick update on the WarBot! build. I’ve built the feet and got him primed. Need to finish his hands and build a small pistol for him to hold.

Originally I planned this at 1:35 scale, but it’s too large. I think 1:20 looks better. Doh! Should’ve taken a photo with it next to a scale ...

WarBot!

Inspired on the designs of Ashley Wood’s World War Robot series. I am a big fan of those rusty bots.

This is my version in roughly 1/35 scale. I combined the Bertie and Martin designs.

The body is built from the bottom half of two capsules I had in my parts box. The back pack is the ...

Eggship

Here’s yet another design that uses a plastic Easter egg. I must admit I really like the shape.

I cut the top of the egg off and added some details into the opening. I think I used a disc from some Warhammer bits…a Tau drone maybe? At the bottom of the egg I put the top ...

BOT HEAD

I think this is one of the first projects I started working on. Ugh, and sadly it remains unfinished.

I created this robot head using bottle caps, a plastic Easter egg and a key from an old keyboard. I was just learning how to do things when I was working on this and had a lot ...

Gunship (aka The Scarab?)

Not sure what to name this one. It reminds me of a scarab beetle At the same time, for some odd reason, it also reminds me of a frog. So for now I will just call it a Gunship.

This is a kit bash using parts from an AMT/ERTL Stap with Battle Droid  and Anakin’s podracer ...

Medium Hover Tank

I’m a procrastinator. If it were a job, I’d be a professional. If it paid money, I’d be really rich and wouldn’t have to do anything. (I could hurt my brain if I followed that chain of thought.)

I spend way too much time surfing the internet looking for inspiration and cool ideas. Check out my Pinterest ...

Jellyfish

I really like the natural forms found in sea creatures. None more than the jellyfish. It’s really cool how they seem to float through the water. I had the idea of a mechanical (rusted of course!) jellyfish floating through the air.

I started with the “body” or the core. I wanted it to feature some kind ...
