I love sea creatures. Did I mention that before? The idea for this came from the Blue Man Group show of all things. During the pre show they had a couple of giant eyeball floating around the auditorium. They had flowing fins like a fish. My daughter and I were discussing ideas for art, and inspired by the giant eye in the sky, I mentioned it’d be cool to see a rusted mechanical fish in the desert. The idea stuck with me. I built him using a ping-pong ball for the body, dental floss pick and propeller blades for the fins and various parts for the details. He’s a bit gimpy (I’ll call him Nemo) as one side is wider than the other.
